During our four-part series this year you will have an opportunity to follow the annual stages of grapevine growth from the dormant season to the final days of harvest. During this series you will learn about the growth of the vines and the important maintenance practices that are used to growth excellent quality grapes. The goals are to have fun and explore the vineyard.
The first session will be held Friday, March 21st from 11:30am-1:30pm with the discussion topic of our pruning methods and selection of canes for incoming fruit yield. We will begin with a short walk through the vineyard to a block that is being pruned by our vineyard crew for an open discussion. Guests will have an opportunity for hands-on pruning time with our vines. Following pruning we will gather to celebrate a job well done with a delicious picnic by Chef Gonzo paired with Sarah's Vineyard Estate wines.
Each series will include a picnic lunch and a paired wine tasting. We look forward to exploring the vineyard with you!
