    2024 Pinot Noir Nouveau

We are so excited to announce our very first Estate Pinot Noir Nouveau bottling! This is a special, very limited release (only 63 cases produced) of our 2024 Pinot Noir Nouveau. We are so excited to share this with you - just in time for your holiday table!

This is our play on the traditional Beaujolais Nouveau, released the third Thursday in November in France as a celebration of the year's harvest. Presented to you is our first vintage with our estate Pinot Noir. Traditionally, this winemaking style produces fresh, fruity, ready to drink wines; this is a vibrant, fruity, moderately structured, and fun to drink wine bursting with notes of orange zest, grapefruit, pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, strawberry, and spice; the perfect addition to your holiday table or a gathering of friends.

"When I was young, the holidays were a time of gathering for my family. A time when we silently agreed that togetherness was a priority. As I’ve gotten older and my family has spread across the US and beyond, we have still carried that feeling of togetherness into the holidays. Nouveau wine is made for these occasions. It is fun, attractive, bright, and versatile. It was made to bring people together."

    Respectfully,
    Jonathan Houston, Winemaker

    2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate

Our fifth Estate Cabernet Sauvignon release to our S.V. members is a tribute to the early winegrowing days of our region. This grape was one of the first varieties planted in the Santa Clara Valley well before the Civil War. We grow these grapes with great care and attention, with a highly restricted yield, to develop the excellent concentration we find in the wine.

    2021 Nebbiolo Reserve

Here is a special, very limited release (only one barrel produced) of our very first estate Nebbiolo. We are excited to share this with you!

Nebbiolo is prized for its elegance and ageability in the Piedmont region of Italy. However, in America, it has been difficult to find a place for it to grow well. Presented to you is our first vintage with our young vines.Traditionally, young vines are fresh, fruity, and light, but lack the grace, pronounced flavors, and structure of old vines. That is what you see here, a fresh, fruity, moderately structured, and fun to drink wine. As our vines mature and our knowledge of this grape grows, the wines will continue to gain complexity and power.

Due to the extremely limited quantity produced, this wine is available exclusively to Reserve Circle Members.

  • 2021 Charbono Estate Photo
    2021 Charbono Estate

Charbono was originally introduced to California in the Napa Valley by early Italian immigrants; the grape itself hails from France’s Savoie region. There is now very little acreage left in the state of this once widely planted variety, which accounts for its almost legendary cult status. We started making Charbono in 2007, buying from our friends who had an acre of it planted just down the road near Santa Teresa and Hecker Pass. That land was sold to build houses on, and we planted an acre of it on our estate. While our little estate Charbono was developing, we bought some from Pear Valley Vineyard in the Paso Robles area, where the bold heat gets Charbono very ripe and lighter in color. Beginning with the 2018 vintage, our Charbono is entirely estate grown and sees 18 months in 10% new French oak barrels.

We are excited to release our very first vintage of Estate Sparkling Rosé. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes for this wine were all estate grown and hand-harvested. The wine spent 14 months en tirage (resting in contact with the lees) before being riddled by hand and then disgorged. This wine is dedicated with love to our daughter Ella Rae.
